Central Office/Data Center Installation Technician - Seattle, United States - AFL

Description

We are looking to hire either Level 3 or Level 4 Techs for this work (depending on experience). You will be doing installs primarily with equipment off the Ciena 6500 platform. This work could be a card add, shelf add, or even a wave server install. You will run and lace secondary power inside the frame as well as run and scope fiber and cat 6 cabling.

Demonstrated experience with the installation and/or test and turn up of network switches and equipment required.

• Project is long term in duration
• Per diem available for those that qualify
• Up to 50% travel to Western states for work, as needed by client. Deployments last 1-2 weeks depending on the actual scope of work to be done.
• Must be based out of Seattle, WA
• Competitive hourly rate
• Must have personal tools
• Demonstrated experience working in Central Office/Data Center environments to include installation of networking/switching equipment (Ciena 6500)

Working Conditions

• Use of small tools
• Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds
• Heavy physical effort (up to 50 pounds)
• Exposure to chemicals and solvents. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards
