DevOps Engineer (Remote - UK Based)

About The Role:
We seek an experienced DevOps Engineer for our quickly growing organization.

In this role, you will build, manage and monitor the infrastructure which powers the Accredible SaaS platform and provide consistency, stability, security and responsiveness for our services.

This role is responsible for:

Helping guide the direction and delivery of both greenfield projects as well as the overhauling of our older services from manual infrastructure to fully automated IaC and CI/CD.

You will take an active role in infrastructure architecting, deployment strategy design, and implementation end-to-end (from Terraform to GitHub Actions Pipelines to custom Lambdas and so on), collaborating closely with our talented developers.

Championing DevOps as a culture and utilizing your skills to propagate best practices throughout the teams.
You will have the autonomy to find opportunities for improvement and directly impact how and when we address these.
Performing incident response and production support activities.

We need people who are strong technical troubleshooters and learn from mistakes to improve the stability and reliability of our platform.

However, Incidents are rare, and uptime is a shared responsibility across the whole Engineering Team.
Communicating and collaborating effectively across teams and competencies.

You will be creating thorough and clear documentation and having a 'big picture', process-oriented mindset to ensure we minimize single points of failure and can operate a-synchronously as a remote team.

Technical competencies:
You have experience working with Linux-based infrastructure.
Infrastructure as code fluency. You know how to write high quality IaC (ideally Terraform) to manage well architected production-ready Infrastructure.

Deployment and provisioning experience:
You have set up and managed multi environment infrastructure and projects professionally using Public Cloud providers such as AWS.
You have an understanding of and experience with virtualisation and images, namely Docker.
You have set up and managed CI/CD for projects using tools like Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.

You have configured and automated monitoring and alerting and have some experience with tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, Scout APM, LogDNA, Grafana, or similar.

You have experience with some programming/scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Golang, etc.
You try to automate and streamline processes wherever possible, using the best tool for the job.
