Job Information

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Solution Architect, specializing in SAP S/4HANA and related Cloud Solutions. As a technical leader, the architect designs and implements integration solutions connecting SAP and non-SAP systems, in alignment with Doosan's Enterprise Architecture and IT standards. This is a pivotal role that bridges business and IT domains, providing leadership to a dedicated Middleware team and ensuring seamless, uninterrupted operational support across global systems and business partners. This role demands the ownership and successful delivery of a greenfield implementation of the SAP BTP Integration Suite as part of a larger SAP S4/HANA ERP implementation. The incumbent should bring substantial knowledge of this platform, offering expert oversight on architecture, implementation, and planning for sustained operational support. With a background in end-to-end ERP implementation, this role is strategically positioned to realize the organization's business integration objectives. It also champions robust, effective communication and collaboration between IT and various business units.

Role & Responsibility

Application Integration Architecture

• Lead the Technology roadmap for SAP Application-to-Application (A2A) Integration Middleware Technologies
• Develop or refine application integration standards, architecture, and platforms
• Work closely with the Partners or Business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective SAP BTP or Middleware solutions
• Lead solution ideation sessions with Digital Functional analysts and Architects to design integrations that meet complex requirements
• Lead or participate in full project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and support, to execute SAP BTP strategies
• Provide expert guidance and ensure successful project outcomes

Information Architecture

• Maintain up-to-date documentation on application integration flow with source, target, information elements and protocols
• Ensure configuration and functional specification documents are created in compliance with our architectural frameworks and standards.

Application Integration Governance

• Develop application integration technology standards with latest technology trends
• Review and approve application integration requests raised from Projects / Operations (new solution, expansion of existing solutions)
• Ensure security and compliance of the SAP BTP environments to meet Global audit requirements

Application Integration Platform Operations

• Lead and mentor a team of Application Developers
• Monitor application integration platform runtime metrics such as monthly run time costs, incidents, change request backlogs, infrastructure operational status, etc.
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of application integration platforms
• Report service level of application integration platform to Leadership team

Continuous Improvement

• Use data driven metrics to identify opportunities for improvement in stabilizing runtime operations through root cause analysis on recurring incidents, critical incidents
• Develop and manage continuous improvement action plan
• Follow up continuous action plan and evaluate the results

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration (MIS), is required. MBA or MS in a relevant computing field is preferred
• A minimum of 10+ years\' experience in a related field
• Strong experience with implementing solutions on SAP BTP with focus on SAP Extension Suite and/or Integrations
• Strong understanding of architectural considerations for SAP (cloud, on-premises) including SAP clean core methodology
• Proficiency in Application Integration Development, including Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), API implementation and EDI
• Experience with enterprise business applications (e.g., SAP S4/HANA, Oracle ERP, PLM, Salesforce, etc.)
• Deep understanding of cloud computing, specifically AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, Kinesis etc.)
• Experience with SAP BTP security and authorization
• Ability to design new architectural frameworks and influence their execution
• Excellent problem-solving skills to handle any issues that arise during the design, implementation, or maintenance of the integration architecture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a keen eye for detail
• Willingness to travel, as this is a global position with a travel requirement of less than 20%
