    Corporate Director, Command Center

    Call Center Environment

    Shift 8:00am- 5:00pm

    24/7 operations, Must be available for after hours communications.


    Experienced leader in Transfer Service, Patient Flow, and/or Command Center operations and experience working in an organization comparable to size and/or complexity of Emory Healthcare is highly preferred.


    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Plans, organizes, evaluates, controls, and directs all functions of the Emory Healthcare Command Center including triage of symptomatic callers, referral to the appropriate level of care, ensuring correct and timely placement of patients requiring inpatient level of care, and managing efficient patient throughput within the Emory Healthcare System.
    • Develops standard work, service level expectations, and clear role definition for each area within the scope of the Command Center.
    • Assumes 24-hour accountability for the delivery of operational excellence by providing leadership and direction to department members.
    • Develops, implements, and consistently applies appropriate policies, procedures, protocols, clinical paths, and standards of care.
    • Actively leads continuous performance improvement activities and supports the implementation of an educational plan for the continued development of department staff members.
    • Collaborates with system and operating unit leaders to ensure all processes meet accreditation and regulatory standards.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business, or a related field.
    • 10 years of healthcare and/or in nursing leadership experience, to include one to two years of operations in clinical operations.
    • Experienced leader in Transfer Service, Patient Flow, and/or Command Center operations and experience working in an organization comparable to size and/or complexity of Emory Healthcare preferred.
