Our company is the largest and oldest towing company in Las Vegas, and we are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Dispatcher to join our team. As a Heavy-Duty Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and effective dispatch of our fleet of heavy-duty tow trucks.

    Summary:As Heavy-Duty Tow Truck dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of our fleet of heavy-duty tow trucks, ensuring that our drivers arrive at job sites quickly and efficiently. You will communicate with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective service. The ideal candidate will have experience in the towing industry, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles.

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide excellent customer service with each and every call.
    • Politely answer emergency and non-emergency calls and document important information.
    • Respond to any issues and follow-up by coordinating with the appropriate departments or field units.
    • Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system.
    • Direct heavy duty tow truck drivers to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules.
    • Prioritize and organize calls according to urgency.
    • Maintain communication with drivers to ensure prompt arrival at tow site.
    • Work closely with clients/customers to determine their towing needs and provide accurate cost estimates for services.
    • Monitor drivers' progress and provide updates to clients/customers as necessary.
    • Must have attention to detail and the ability to do data entry.
    • Maintaining records to provide to the accounting department and the heavy duty department supervisor, pertaining to work requests, customer requests, completed work requests, charges for work performed, expenses for services performed, inventory records, and other information organized and easily accessible.
    • Provides accounting a drop sheet. (invoice and cash total sheet)
    • Processes clients'/customers payments.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 2+ years of experience in dispatching tow trucks, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles (preferred).
    • Ability to read and write in English.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of the towing industry and equipment, particularly heavy-duty tow trucks, and regulations in the towing industry including Tariffs.
    • Proficient in using dispatch software and GPS systems.
    • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as necessary.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Computer literate.
    • Knowledge of local areas/streets/zip codes, and the ability to read a map.
    • Ability to work with Heavy duty tow truck operators while remaining professional and firm.
    • Ability to answer questions from local state agencies, and local law enforcement in an accurate and professional manner.
