Voice Engineer Job Description:

Our client is looking for a skilled **Voice Engineer** to collaborate with technical teams and business leaders in designing, creating, and maintaining Interactive Voice Response (IVR) for over 700 locations. This position plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the smooth operation and ongoing enhancement of telephony systems throughout all locations, focusing on ensuring network stability, security, and efficiency, while managing the telephony systems to facilitate effective communication within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance the organization's telephony infrastructure, handling call routing, voicemail systems, phone provisioning, and overall telephony system performance.
Monitor and optimize voice quality and network performance, addressing issues related to call quality, voice latency, echo, and jitter for an outstanding user experience.
Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related issues, including call routing, connectivity problems, and telephony system outages. Work with cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain accurate documentation of voice network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures. Generate reports on voice system performance, capacity usage, and call statistics.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for voice equipment, software, and services procurement. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design voice network architectures meeting business needs.
Prioritize telephony projects, support tickets, and escalations to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
**Time Management:** Ensure appointments are scheduled, track issues, and maintain detailed records throughout the process.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Min. 7 years of experience in network administration focusing on VOIP systems.
3+ years of experience in Voice Solutions, particularly with Genesys Cloud, Cisco Webex, Ring Central, and Zoom Phone.
Hands-on experience with Polycom VVX series.
Proficient in negotiating IT Telephony priorities with stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure), LAN/WAN technologies, and common network protocols.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Effective project management abilities.
Multitasking capability and high productivity focus.
Understanding of security and authentication best practices.

Desirable Skills:

Familiarity with carrier services, voice gateway technology, and troubleshooting third-party vendors.
Experience with REST APIs and Powershell.
Background in contact center platforms such as Genesys, Avaya, Five9, Zoom Phone, and RingCentral.
Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Efficient work in a demanding, team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Strong customer communication skills.
