    Program Overview:

    Starbucks is continuing program investments for IoT (Internet of Things) enabled store equipment to improve store production and store operations capabilties. Scale up of these programs requires development of a comprehensive, prioritized product management backlog of well-defined stories, experience journeys for multiple personas across stores, corporate and service vendors, and critical OKRs/KPIs for the IoT and adjacent platforms. This work is focused on products and services made available from the Starbucks Internet of Things (SIOT) platform.

    Product Deliverables

    Store experience journeys for key personas where new IoT-enabled equipment is being integrated into the store ecosystem and processes that might include food and beverage production, sensor-based used cases that monitor and provide alerts to partners or service technicians, etc. Prioritized feature (epic-level) roadmap spanning IoT and coordination with adjacent platforms, when needed Aligned objectives and key results (OKRs), KPIs, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and measurement strategy for SIOT products and new capabilies Product-specific communications and stakeholder engagement Applicable product evaluation and selection required

    Timing
    • Objectives - establish experience journeys for key personas, draft feature roadmap with detailed definition for first epics to be worked, critical OKRs/ KPIs for FY23 priorities, and stakeholder engagement plan
    • Q2 - Q4 Objectives - continue refinement of next critical features, roadmap updates, and OKRs/KPIs, as needed. Maintain stakeholder communications, product status reporting, support in-take of new requests and facilitate adjustments to prioritization.
    Resource Skills and Experience Summary
    • Senior level technical product management experience producing above stated deliverables and outcomes
    • IoT/connected devices use in a retail store or food/beverage production setting
    • Technology specific experience, in remote device management and support, plus knowledge of operational use in stores
    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead product planning through day to day collaboration and decision making with cross-functional team including architects, designers, engineering leaders, and business or subject matter representatives
    • Design and drive usability studies to inform product requirements and influence product design and experience
    • Define and analyzes metrics that measure and benchmark product success
    • Work with larger Technical product management organization to align on broader product roadmap dependencies
    • Assess marketplace for new product innovations, competitors, and emerging technologies in IoT and managing devices at the store edge
    • Support business case development for new IoT-enable equipment that enables productivity improvements and lead evaluation / proof of concept efforts
    • Lead engagement with key product managers, ensuring experience journeys and product requirements are well understood
    • Build strong relationships and influence others across the organization and with external vendors
    • Balance multiple priorities and meet stated deadlines and deliverables within statement of work
    • Demonstrate effectiveness in dealing with ambiguity
    • Use communications skills to influence outcomes
    • Use analytics and optimization tools to inform product planning and prioritization.
