    Production Supervisor

    Responsibilities

    • Manage shop floor operations, overseeing daily schedules, workflow, and inventory of tooling and consumables.
    • Address nonconformance issues, document associated rework, and ensure product quality and compliance with specifications through rigorous monitoring.
    • Lead and supervise a team of 5+ technicians, handling all aspects of performance management, including skill assessment, training development, and providing feedback.
    • Review work instructions, recommend changes to optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Provide essential data and reports to support departmental metrics and improvement goals, monitoring labor hours, overtime, and implementing plans to enhance time management.
    • Drive production outcomes by setting clear job expectations, identifying and mitigating production risks, and cultivating a culture of cooperation to promote teamwork and collaboration.
    • Develop and execute cost reduction initiatives, efficiency enhancement strategies, and safety measures to improve area safety and efficiency.
    • Continuously optimize process and manpower efficiency, utilization, and productivity to ensure smooth operations and adherence to timelines.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of experience in manufacturing/production.
    • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in team or project management.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, particularly in structures.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
    • Experience transitioning teams and processes from development to production.
    • Lean/six sigma green belt certification or equivalent.
    • Strong communication skills to liaise between engineering and production teams.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving tasks.
    • Safety training and/or certifications.
    • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and efficiency methodologies.
    • Track record of high performance in previous roles (rated 4/4 or above in reviews).

    Additional Requirements

    • Availability for 1st split shift (8am - 6pm).
    • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required.
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and stand for extended periods (minimum 8 hours).
    • Willingness to travel for short and extended trips as needed.

Capable of tactfully managing relationships with stakeholders to achieve company-desired outcomes without compromising relationships. Emails, IMs and verbal interactions are logical, drive clarity, and detailed enough to eliminate ambiguity.
