Bose Corporation is a company dedicated to developing breakthrough technologies and quality products that enrich people's lives. Bose is a global leader in consumer and professional audio solutions with over 50 years of success. We strive to provide compelling experiences for our customers, all the way from their first interaction with an ad or a salesperson through the moment they first play a favorite song on their new audio system.

The wireless revolution needs you. We want you to be part of the team that brings the best in Out-Loud Audio, Wireless Personal Audio and Noise Reduction to life. We are looking for a hands-on DSP engineer who is interested in applying DSP design techniques in a production environment. The high-volume production environment presents unique learning opportunities to explore DSP algorithm development and deployment.

    • Demonstrate and deliver new benefits for our customers using innovative technologies and novel applications of technologies like Active Noise Reduction, Spatial Audio, Voice Pickup and Bluetooth communications
    • Use your technical creativity to help define and strengthen new product ideas
    • Take on the responsibility of effectively moving a product through all the phases, from advanced development all the way to production

    Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a large subset of the following characteristics:

    • Exposure to acoustics and acoustic measurements
    • Expertise with basic audio lab equipment as well as knowledge of audio hardware design
    • Experience with debugging embedded, real-time systems.
    • Demonstrable expertise in programming signal processing algorithms using high-level languages like C, Python and Matlab as well as low-level languages like fixed-point assembly. Experience with Qualcomm's Kalimba DSP is desired.
    • Effective communication skills including the ability to discuss complex technical issues with experts in other fields.
    • Experience with Bluetooth audio products and an understanding of their advantages and limitations.
    • Experience with or understanding of acoustic transducers such as microphones, microspeakers and loudspeakers.

    Education and Experience:

    • BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other Signal Processing related degree. MS preferred
    • 6-8+ years of relevant work experience
