We are representing a Manufacturing organization that is growing within their Atlanta office

Assist the Controller in managing and overseeing all facets of our accounting operations, including the monthly close process, financial reporting, and balance sheet management.

Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
Collaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.

Respond to inquiries from the Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.

Work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience with Big 4, CPA, Manufacturing, GAAP, Financial Reporting or equivalent.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with financial reporting requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
