- Coordinating the education requirements for cannabis establishment licensees and field staff.
- Overseeing the preparation of inspection and investigation reports, and generating enforcement actions.
- Ensuring the standardized application of policy and procedures across the compliance team and undertake performance management reporting to include compliance trend tracking and goal and target setting to improve compliance.
- May monitor and manage day-to-day inspection and investigative activities of the compliance team to achieve agency goals, including supervisory support of complex cases.

Overview
The Cannabis Control Board (CCB) seeks a dedicated Deputy Director of Compliance & Enforcement to support the management and resolution of all enforcement activities administered by the Board in Vermont's evolving legal cannabis landscape.
The role is crucial to carrying out the mission of the Board to establish an equitable and sustainable cannabis industry that supplies safe, compliant products to Vermont's adult-use, medical, and hemp-derived marketplace.
Essential responsibilities include:
The Deputy Director will take an active role in the development and implementation of legislative and regulatory changes for all programs administered by the Board.
This role emphasizes a proactive and engagement-based approach to compliance, intertwining enforcement measures with educational initiatives to create a culture of understanding and adherence to regulations.
The right candidate will have strong writing and time management skills to effectively handle a high-volume regulatory workload in a complex and rapidly evolving industry.
