Position:
SENIOR FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIST/SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT III (ITSM SME)

Location:
Onsite, Suffolk, VA Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Engineering discipline required.

A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in lieu of each year of formal education may be substituted for a formal degree.

Experience:

Ten (10) years of experience managing progressively more complex and/or multiple technical programs/projects with responsibility for management and control of cost, schedule, performance, and personnel, communicating and interfacing with customers.

Five (5) years serving as a senior expert with extensive knowledge in DOD, Navy, and Joint IT systems. Provide insight and advice concerning task or project strategic direction and outcomes. Contribute to the evaluation, analysis, and development of recommended solutions. Resolves complex problems, which require an in‐depth knowledge of DOD and Navy IT systems. Apply principles and methods of ITSM to solutions. Possesses demonstrated ability and experience in management consulting and cross‐team facilitation at technical and management levels.

Other areas of expertise may include business process reengineering, statistical process control, individual and organizational assessment and evaluation, process modeling and simulation, strategic and business planning, change management, organizational development, and the development of leadership/management skills.

Directs the activities of program teams or other staff as necessary.


Certifications:

Certification and continuing education required, comply with the CSWF certification requirements based on DoD and Navy requirements minimum Security+.

ITIL v3 Foundations and one ITILv3 intermediate certification, specifically Service Operations or Continual Service Improvement required, or ITIL v4 Foundations and ITILv4 Strategist Direct, Plan and Improve or ITIL 4 Specialist Create, Deliver and Support.

Cloud foundation certification.
