The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16.
The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing RequiredExperience:1 year Nursing - Emergency - Required or1 year Nursing - Critical Care may be considered in lieu of ER experience or1 year Nursing – Medical Acute Care andPrevious Emergency Department cross-trained experience within 2 years of hire orcertification as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) orcompletion of an Emergency Nursing training program??Certifications/Licensures:RN Registered Nursing - California Board of NursingRequiredBLS Basic Life Support - American Heart AssociationRequiredACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart AssociationRequiredPALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart AssociationRequiredTNCC Trauma Nurse Core Course - Emergency Nurses Association Preferred, however, Required to work with Trauma patients (WCMC)
