    Sr. Construction Project Manager

    SUMMARY

    The Senior Construction Project Manager supervises the execution of construction according to the company's policies, procedures, and standards ensuring optimal performance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Project Management:

    • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously deploying strong leadership skills.
    • Analyze complex business documents and respond effectively to sensitive issues.
    • Present complex topics to internal-external teams.
    • Calculate complex financial figures.
    • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Travel to sites for quality and schedule adherence inspections.
    • Demonstrate capability to read complex construction documents.
    • Review and negotiate change orders requests.
    • Coach contractors to desired results.
    • Mentor Construction Project Managers on AutoZone standard Project Management practices.
    • Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
    • Maintain daily reporting and communication on project key metrics.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Site Inspections completed on all projects verifying specifications and standards.
    • Train and mentor Construction Project Managers on AutoZone Specifications and Standards.
    • Ongoing verification and adherence to OSHA 30 safety regulations.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Civil Engineering required.
    • 8-15 years of experience in construction project management required.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Decisions made with understanding of company policies and business practices.
    • Must be able to travel 3 days per week.
    • Lead and motivate various team sizes while holding accountability for performance.
    • Manage internal process improvement projects as needed.
    • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and construction practices.

    SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Make decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures and company policies.
