    Description

    Position Summary: Combining estimating expertise with strong contract management skills, responsible for assisting with the creation of accurate project estimates, soliciting, and analyzing subcontractor bids, and drafting and managing subcontract agreements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with issuing Invitations to Bid for various project Estimates.
    • Assist with ensuring we have ample subcontractor coverage for all necessary bids.
    • Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to assist in the development of accurate and detailed cost estimates.
    • Assist in developing and preparing bid packages and scope sheets for subcontractors, including specifications, drawings, and contract terms.
    • Assist with takeoffs of materials, labor, and equipment required for each project phase.
    • Develop and maintain project cost control plans and identify potential cost risks.
    • Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to ensure estimates reflect project requirements.
    • Present estimates to the Estimating Manager and address any questions or concerns.
    • Assist with coordinating and conducting pre-bid jobsite visits for estimates as requested by the Estimating Manager.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Proficient with the use of office equipment and computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Project.
    • Proficiency in Procore preferred.
    • Estimating experience including ability to perform take-offs, create scope sheets, and knowledge with writing Subcontracts.
    • Understanding of the Buyout Process.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks/projects with little supervision and across multiple projects and project teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • 2-4 years experience in construction estimating and contract management.
    • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience desired.
