- Architect, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for extremely low power WiFi devices.
- Implement features and enhancements to improve device security, performance, stability, and functionality.
- Collaborate with hardware and mechanical engineers to ensure firmware compatibility with hardware specifications.
- Implement WiFi-6 protocol features, including TWT to optimize device communication versus battery life trade-offs.
- Ensure compliance with WiFi Alliance standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug WiFi-related issues.
- Interface with peripheral devices, sensors, and communication modules using appropriate protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART).
- Develop device drivers and firmware for efficient hardware interaction.
- Optimize firmware for power efficiency and resource utilization.
- Implement security protocols and features to safeguard device communication and data.
- Support over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates and ensure robustness of update mechanisms.
- Stay updated with security best practices and integrate security patches as needed.
- Develop test plans and conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing of firmware.
- Work closely with quality assurance engineers to identify and resolve firmware issues.
- Perform validation and verification of firmware against functional requirements.
- Document firmware designs, APIs, and development processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality IoT solutions.
- Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 15 years or more of solid experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the IoT or networking domain.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages and familiarity with embedded development tools (e.g., GCC, Keil, IAR).
- Strong understanding of WiFi protocols, especially WiFi ax), and experience with WiFi chipset SDKs.
- Knowledge of low-level hardware interaction, including device drivers, peripherals, and microcontrollers.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex firmware issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Zigbee.
- Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP) and socket programming.
- Knowledge of IoT security principles and cryptographic algorithms.
- Experience with wireless regulatory certifications (e.g., FCC, CE).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

We are seeking an Embedded Firmware Designer to join our team focused on developing low-power wireless security devices. As an integral part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and testing embedded firmware for WiFi-6 enabled IoT devices.
