    Who You Are

    is our ICANN accredited Domain Registrar and is the backbone of all of our products and offerings at TurnCommerce. 2024 will be a big year for the product as we prepare to release a new version from beta to production and we are looking for an experienced Product Owner to help us get the release out and manage user feedback cycles in order to delight our Domain Investor customers. While experience with domain registrars is not required, it is a big plus and will require someone who is motivated to dive into the industry and learn the ins and outs while effectively managing the Product Backlog and priorities for the cross-functional team.

    You are passionate about the Product life cycle, customer feedback and continual improvement. You are a self-starter that is capable of turning a team that has been focused more on the developer experience into one that focuses on the Customer Experience to drive priority and strategic initiatives. You have three to five years experience working in the product space and understand the importance of a groomed backlog. Ideally you are ready and willing to coach others on the product mindset.
    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following items:

    • Turning our Strategic Themes and Opportunities into outcome-driven, team-owned Objectives and Key Results
    • Assessing value and prioritizing stories and epics to ensure work aligns with the business and product strategy
    • Managing dependencies across teams and priorities
    • Planning and prioritizing product feature backlog and development for the product
    • Collaborating with customers and partners to co-develop a roadmap and drive features from conception to launch
    • Partnering with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features and prioritization
    • Working with other Product team members to define methods for capturing and acting upon customer feedback
    • Turning data insights into actionable outcomes
    • Translating product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
    • Acceptance Testing as a Product Owner to ensure features and stories meet acceptance criteria
    • Developing and maintaining appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance to evaluate future investment

    Qualifications/Skills

    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (updated certification)
    • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with a customer first mindset
    • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
    • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
    • 3-5 years of proven product development experience
    • Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset
    • Proven ability to determine MVP for a feature or product
    • Experience decomposing feature level work into relative and right sized stories with development teams and Scrum Master
    • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, understanding of Agile principles
    • Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real time alerts, etc.

    Nice to Haves

    • Knowledge/experience in the domain industry and DNS

    Logistics

    All interviews will happen virtually and candidates should additionally be prepared to provide references upon request. Candidates should be prepared to share examples of successful product launches and data-driven analysis. This position has been categorized as a Remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent desk in our office and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions.
