    We are looking for Software Engineers

    who are excited to apply their talents to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customer's challenging projects. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with a good understanding of technical engineering concepts. You have demonstrated experience in writing consistently high-quality code using industry best practices.

    Position location is on-site at prime's office in Boulder, Colorado 5 days per week.


    Responsibilities:
    Design, develop, and maintain application code for backend services, web interfaces and geospatial information systems in a Linux environment primarily using primarily Python but also C++ and Javascript

    Implement API designs

    Communicate effectively with other team members.


    Collaborate with cross-functional team members such as software architects, product owners, and designers to design, develop and test software solution that meet the needs of our customers.

    Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices.

    Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.

    Debug and fix issues.

    Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality with an emphasis on automated testing.

    Deploy software applications to production environments.

    Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure.

    Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.


    Required Skills and Experience:

    Clearance Required:
    Secret

    This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.

    Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required.

    Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.

    BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field.


    5 to 10 years of experience specifically in a software engineering role (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience).

    Professional hands-on software engineering experience using Python

    Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:

    Detail oriented

    Good verbal and written communication skills

    Building backend web services and/or native applications

    Javascript/Typescript

    C++ 21 or higher

    Automated testing (eg:
    Playwright, Cucumber)


    Containerization (eg:
    Docker, Kubernetes)

    CI/CD and DevOps tools and methodologies

    Database design (eg:
    Postgres, NoSQL)

    Messaging middleware (eg:
    ZeroMQ, KAFKA)

    Microservices architecture

    Atlassian tools

    Interim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher

    Salary Range:

    In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $155,000.

    This is not a guarantee of compensation.

    Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
