Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in an industrially funded project that aims to synthesize and evaluate a series of olefin polymerization catalysts for the production of functionalized polyolefins.
  • Serve as mentor to graduate undergraduate researchers in th eLong Research Group Present project progress research results monthly basis Maintain practice confidentiality regarding details industry sponsored research project Document reserach results characterization conclusions recommendations via technical reports timely manner industrial sponsor Present report resear chresults researc hgroup publish scientific resutls peer-reviewed journals timely manner Ensure compliance with environmental health safety quality program requirements Maintain strong commitment ethical work practicesQualifications
    Must havedefended submitted dissertation hire date earning Ph D chemistry closely-related field Must knowledgeable experienced polymer organic synthesis science characterization Excellent track record productive creative research demonstrated publications peer-reviewed journals Strong verbal written communication skills Willing work independently collaboratively Self-motivated ambitious enthusiastic initiative proposing own ideas make progessproject plus Preferred background organometallic catalysis development preferred experience screening testing protocols olefin policmerizaton catalyzts Exhibit ability set priorities multitask adapt changings needs proven function fast-paced environment Work Location Knoxvile TN on siteCmpensation And Benefits
