    ABOUT THE POSITION

    The North America Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team focuses on our outlet, brand, and employee stores within the US and Canada. From merchandising to retail marketing to retail operations (which includes the Workforce Optimization team), there is a highly collaborative team working "behind the scenes" to ensure our consumers have a positive experience in our stores.

    As a Senior Workforce Planning Analyst you will be a key member of the Workforce Optimization team. Within this role you will provide in-depth, labor engineering services to the Columbia Sportswear retail workforce to ensure improved business solutions to support CSC strategies. Here you'll develop and maintain production standards, conduct cost comparison studies, identify process alternatives, contribute expertise to development of store layouts, and monitor and audit best practices and procedures. Most importantly you will deliver engineering-based recommendations to assure the most economical processing, storage, and receiving of product.

    HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

    • Develop, implement, and maintain software solutions, specifically supporting engineered labor standards, forecasting, and budgeting efforts
    • Analyze and review current store processes and equipment; recommend changes and improvements which increase productivity and contribute to cost efficiency
    • Provide detailed and accurate costing based on what-if analysis by adding or removing processes of interest
    • Establish engineered labor standards by breaking down and assigning build processes into a time measurement units (TMU) data model
    • Conduct studies and analyses of various customer service and production activities; develop the most efficient and effective methods to ensure activities are aligned to target or strategy
    • Monitor and provide support for retail workforce optimization and store teams by assisting with problem solving and decision making
    • Provide project management skills in key, high-level assignments involving design, development and timelines of new store standards, store layouts, costing, and partnership of implementations

    YOU ARE

    • Well-versed in retail mathematics, including statistical analysis
    • Well-versed in project management
    • A strong communicator - verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills
    • Detail oriented

    YOUHAVE

    • 5+ years of professional experience and strong competency with various tools, systems, or procedures
    • Retail experience and an applied understanding of labor methodology
    • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing work measurement standards
