    Pay: $22.00 per hour

    Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Full-time Development Assistant for the Chicago campus.

    Temporary Job Description:

    The Temporary Development Assistant will support the development team coordinating the 16th Annual Robert J. Havey, MD Institute for Global Health Benefit Dinner scheduled for September 25, 2024. Working closely with the global health development team, this position will manage registration and giving lists, maintain computer records tracking donor and prospect information and interactions, and generate correspondence, reports, and other digital and printed materials.

    Duties include:
    • Work in the Anthology Encompass online platform and other internal CRM applications
    • Coordinate with development staff to create and send e-mails to invitees and registrants
    • Accept and track RSVPs, donations/sponsorships, etc.
    • Conduct follow-up (calls, e-mail, correspondence) regarding reservations/tickets, gifts, tables and sponsorships
    • Assist in production of printed materials (place cards, nametags, event program, etc.)
    • Serve as a resource for donors, staff, faculty, guests
    • Conduct event follow-up duties, including acknowledgment letters, reporting, etc.
    • Attend the event in-person in the evening on September 25, 2024
    • Other duties as assigned relating to the event, as well as administrative support for associated development events and initiatives
    Qualifications Required:
    • Associate degree or equivalent required
    • One year in a communications, business administration, data management, or administrative support role.
    • Strong data management skills (collection, analysis, distribution, maintenance) and experience with modern database and information system technologies
    • Project coordination skills and demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced use of Word, Outlook, and Excel
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Experience demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
    Software Required:

    MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
