    $1000 SIGN ON BONUS

    Starting salary: $20/hour + shift differential (additional $.75/hr earned from 3p-7a)

    Shift differential: additional $.75/hour for all hours worked between 3p-7a

    Shift:8 Hour – Rotating (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a all required)

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    The purpose of this position is to back-up the full time Process Technician by assisting manufacturing operations and employees, optimizing equipment production performance and ensuring all employees are trained in the most efficient operational methods. The incumbent will spend the majority of time on the plant floor with production employees examining equipment, processes and operations and will suggest and implement production improvements as necessary.

    JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    While the Process Technician is absent, the Back-up Process Technician will be responsible for the following:

    · Assist team members with press issues, training and problem solving

    · Train all team members as needed in press adjustments

    · Conduct back-up Safety, OSHA and other training as required

    · Participate in continuous improvement effort

    · Participate as department representative for all meetings on shift

    Other duties:

    · Press operation - counting and visually inspecting parts

    · Performing quality inspections to ensure products meet all specifications

    · Fork truck operation (required - will train)

    · Documentation under ISO/IATF guidelines

    · Cross train on all equipment in the department

    Requirements:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    · 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment is required

    · Participation and leadership in a team-based environment

    · Must be flexible and adaptable

    · Detail-oriented

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    · Familiar with following and teaching IATF work instruction procedures

    · Ability to teach others mechanical and technical skills

    PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:

    This position requires someone who is able to work a rotating shift (7a-3p, 3p-11p & 11p-7a) and overtime as needed with their Crew. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing. Good communication skills are required to convey information within the department in a consistently changing environment. Must operate a forklift truck; this requires use of arms and legs, the ability to get into and out of a fork truck and depth perception to stack or move material. Must have finger dexterity and be able to see and hear. Must be able to stand and be in closed spaces for extended time periods. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding, and have the ability to lift 50lbs. Must also have the ability to come to work on a regular basis. Works primarily in plant environment. Must be able to wear PPE, which could consist of safety glasses, cut resistant gloves, earplugs and steel-toed/safety shoes and be able to work a regular schedule.

    Must be 18 years or older to be considered for employment.
