    Description

    The Sport Psychology Counselor reports to the Director of Counseling Services and works primarily with the university s student athletes.

    This position will provide mental health services (counseling, outreach, crisis intervention, group work, risk assessments, performance anxiety, injury support, support groups, etc.) to student athletes and consultation to coaches.

    The Sport Psychology Counselor will be integrated withinin both Counseling Services and Athletics.

    This is a 10-month position that works M-F from August through May.

    The Sport Psychology Counselor will be able to work some evenings during the semester; most days 8:30-4:30, with 1 or 2 days of 11-7 to best meet the student-athlete schedule.

    There will be one weekend per month when this position will be required to be on-call for behavioral health emergencies.
