    Position Summary


    The Bar Back is responsible for general assistance of the bar staff, including glass-washing, batching, and restocking of beverage products.

    Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area, beer cooler and assisting guests as needed.


    • Keep the bar stocked with liquor, syrups, glasses, napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours.
    • Prepare garnishes, refill ice wells, change beer kegs and restock napkins and straws.
    • Clean up the spills, remove the glassware and organize the counter.
    • Keep the bar area neat and clean.
    • Exercise hospitality when interacting with guests
    • Coordinate with managers, kitchen staff and security personnel to ensure efficient service to customers.
    • Handle emergency situations, like cleaning up broken glasses and clearing up clogged drains.
    Qualifications

    The Bar Back directly reports to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty.

    This is a non-tipped position. Minimum age requirement is 18 years of age for this position.

    Legal Sea Foods began in 1950 as a fish market in the Inman Square neighborhood of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Its here that the Legal name became synonymous with quality and freshness. In 1968, our first seafood restaurant opened, right next to the fish market. The fish was simply prepared, either broiled or fried, and served on paper plates at communal picnic tables. Despite the low-key trappings, the food was second to none and word quickly spread.
