- Lead the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering initiatives and activities for the development of multifamily and commercial projects as directed by CEO of Operating Ventures.
- Develop and produce MEP drawings, specifications, and calculations in accordance with federal, state, and local building codes.
- Collaborate with in-house architects, engineers, and our construction team to identify project requirements, objectives, scope, and apply risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines to integrate MEP systems with the building's structural and interior design.
- Document and archive all drawings and specifications.
- Establish and implement quality control measures for all MEP design work.
- Coordinate with our in-house design team on the specifications of MEP systems.
- Resolve any conflicts or discrepancies that may arise during the construction phase of any project.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or from a transferable jurisdiction.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Documented history of executing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (building system) projects, specifically in the multifamily and commercial space.
- 10+years managing the design and engineering of MEP projects, with a preferably focus on precast concrete construction.
- Demonstrate a familiarity with sustainable building practices and a passion for innovative design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other state of the art software and tools. Additional experience utilizing Sketch-Up will be useful.
- Demonstrate experience applying multifamily and commercial project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of building and energy codes.
- This position is located in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.
- The salary range is between $182,000 and $234,000.
- This is an on-site role. We do not offer remote or hybrid working opportunities.
- The ideal candidate must be available to start with two weeks of acceptance date.

Who We Are Looking For:
The Principal - MEP Engineering will be instrumental in ensuring the excellence of our multifamily and commercial projects, utilizing the precast concrete or tilt-up wall construction delivery method. You will plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the preparation and execution of drawings (Construction Documents) and specifications related to Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing design and engineering. Your expertise will bridge the gap between innovative design and practical, on-site execution. This role requires a deep understanding of precast concrete wall panel construction, from design through installation of the MEP building infrastructure. You will also be responsible for creating and authorizing production drawings for permitting as required, as the engineer of record.
