- Open to remote for experienced candidates with Medical Claims and EMR experience.
- Together with HEOR and Medical Affairs, suggest HEOR studies using healthcare/administrative databases to fill the evidence gaps identified by the team.
- Develop or contribute to the development of study protocols, statistical analysis plans, study reports and manuscripts.
- Develop or oversee the development of a programming plan for assigned retrospective database studies.
- Independently develop data specifications and effectively communicate study requirements to programmers and supervise their work.
- Develop and manage quality assurance plan for all retrospective database studies conducted in house by the HEOR team.
- Work independently to lead and/or execute study plans and statistical analysis for assigned projects.
- Present methodology and results to both scientific and lay audiences.
- Develop or contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for the conduct, validation and archival of database programs and associated datasets.
- Assume responsibility for management and installation of file updates for all data sources licensed by the department.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with large healthcare claims and EMR data.
- Experienced with the design and application of advanced statistical methods to include propensity score matching and use of hierarchical models with longitudinal data.
- Ability to effectively summarize and report statistical findings at levels appropriate for both sophisticated scientific committees and lay audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong study design and statistical analysis skills with proficiency in one are more statistical applications (SAS/R/Python) is required.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently and be able to take a leadership role with regard to methodological elements within a project.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Medical claims, Medicaid and HEOR database search.
- Using R, SAS, claims and EMR data.
- Observational data, MarketScan, Optum, Market Clarity, EMC- Claims databases.
- Study design, statistical analysis and methodology, programming skills.
- PhD preferred, minimum MS in Statistics/Biostatistics, Health Economics, Epidemiology required.
- 0-2 years of experience conducting analysis with healthcare observational databases.
