    Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President, the EPIC Application Analyst - Population Health assumes a crucial role in the installation, configuration, optimization, and support of the EPIC electronic health record (EHR) Population Health applications. The Analyst's responsibilities span across technical expertise, user interaction, and process improvement. They ensure the effective utilization of the EHR system, supporting Quality and Performance Improvement program activities and implementing population health and value-based initiatives in Ambulatory Care.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    1. Promote a safe, cooperative and professional health care environment to ensure optimum patient care (as per HR Policy 113c).
    2. Adheres to all hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, including but not limited to, absenteeism, ETIME, cellular telephone usage, dress code and rules of conduct.
    3. Makes Customer Service a priority, treating customers (patients, visitors, and co-workers) in a professional manner exercising courtesy and tact. Effectively communicates with patients and others about SBH services in their area(s) of expertise or responsibility and ensures that concerns, questions or issues reach the right person(s) in SBH in a timely fashion.
    4. Demonstrates the standards of performance and behaviors consistent with the DRIVE to Patient-Centered Excellence.
    5. Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business and clinical needs, interpreting end user requirements to facilitate optimal solutions.
    6. Build new application and program components, install new applications, and upgrade existing applications while adhering to industry best practices.
    7. Configure application settings to align with clinical and operational needs.
    8. Develop comprehensive test plans, execute tests for new systems, version upgrades, and modifications, and document all testing outcomes.
    9. Create detailed system specifications based on user requirements, ensuring clarity and accuracy in system modifications.
    10. Provide support during the implementation of new applications, programs and system updates.
    11. Interface with users across the SBH Health System, addressing inquiries, providing support, and conducting training sessions on new applications, modules, and functionalities.
    12. Develop and deliver training programs and user documentation to facilitate end user education and self-service support.
    13. Implement advanced troubleshooting techniques for application issues, offering day-to-day operational support and recommending enhancements.
    14. Provide on-site support within SBH Health System and affiliates as required, offering immediate assistance and troubleshooting.
    15. Evaluate operational workflows as applied to the system and propose improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    16. Perform data analysis to identify trends and patterns, contributing to process improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making.
    17. Collaborate with Population Health project teams, contributing to project planning, execution, and successful delivery of EPIC-related initiatives.

    Requirements


    • Epic certification in Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, Cadence or related app (maintaining all requirements for Epic certification is a condition of employment).

    • 2+ years of related clinical or business experience related to population health/care management.

    • Application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support experience

    • Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

    • Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent project management skills
