    The primary role of the


    Director of Operations - Midwest is to provide leadership, direction, and support to all aspects of mental healthcare clinic operations.

    They oversee the coordination of the business operations for their region to achieve financial and clinical goals set forth by the Regional Vice President.

    The

    Director of Operations -

    Midwest

    supports carrying out short- and long-term goals based upon broad organization goals and objectives. They evaluate the results of regional operations regularly and systematically and report them to the Regional Vice President.

    This role is critical to helping scope, plan, and execute essential tasks and deliverables to support our center's enterprise-wide integration and act as a bridge in the Optum Behavioral Health Services integration.

    is responsible for supporting and guiding leadership in their region and establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with clinicians, physicians, staff, patients, referral sources, and the public, as well as formulating and administering policies and procedures, participating in strategic planning and business development activities, and assisting in the professional development and execution of the daily operations of the various mental health businesses.

    Compensation:
    $110,000 - $145,000/yearly
    Responsibilities

    Participate in carrying out the short—and long-term goals established by the Regional Vice President based on broad organizational goals and objectives.

    Recommend, develop, and assist in the strategic long-range planning and budget process for all clinical departments supporting the clinics' mission, philosophy, and goals.

    Responsible for performance to budget on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
    Provide leadership and mentoring to management staff in establishing department objectives related to staffing, policies, and procedures.

    Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to develop and govern the annual budget for clinic operations and implement plans to achieve budgetary goals.

    Monitor compliance with all clinic metrics (Customer Services, Membership, Retention, etc.) and ensure all operational services meet regulatory and quality standards.

    Provide continual process improvement, including all clinic processes and services.

    To remain current in changing healthcare trends related to clinical operations management, maintain professional affiliations, and enhance professional growth and development.

    Maintain and grow relationships with referral sources.

    As appropriate to the position, planned and facilitated community outreach and education activities; may serve as a liaison and representative to community organizations.

    Promote the image of Refresh to the local, regional, and national communities.

    Adhere to all company policies on safety and security; maintain restricted areas by safeguarding facility entry protocols and computer system passwords in strict confidentiality.

    Practice confidentiality and privacy protocols by Refresh Mental Health policies and HIPAA and PHI standards and requirements.

    Collaborate with the Regional Vice President and Learning and Development to guide regional teams on all protocols, practices, processes, duties, rules, regulations, etc.

    Work with the Talent Solutions team to ensure timely and effective recruiting strategies; work with each organization's leadership to manage appropriate staffing levels, recruiting procedures, and timing.

    Assist in retention efforts by recognizing employee talents, tracking professional goals, and suggesting training programs and professional development activities to the Regional Vice President and Human Resources.

    Work effectively as a team member with other members of management.

    Collaborate with appropriate business partners in conducting a client satisfaction survey program; implement and maintain along with metrics that measure improvement; set improvement expectations and manage outcomes.

    Work effectively with other business and support units across UHG (OBC Product /Clinical, OBH Network, HCE, etc.). RMH's work must be deeply integrated with other businesses, initiatives, and resources across UHG.

    Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear well-organized, and demonstrates an understanding of audience needs.
    Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration, and effort required for successful project execution.

    Center Operations Leadership

    Minimum Job Qualifications:
    BS degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare Practice Management
    7+ years of Healthcare Practice Management
    7+ years of experience working with large managed care organizations or enterprise-wide software systems.
    A minimum of 7 years in a client, strategic partner, or supplier-facing role

    Preferred Job Qualifications:
    Deep understanding of the healthcare industry and its applicability to payer and provider organizations.
    Sufficient knowledge of technology applications or products to learn and understand software products at a detailed level.
    A good understanding of enterprise software deployment is a plus.
    Strong communication skills, relationship-building, and conflict-management skills.
    Ability to multi-task and prioritize

    Working Conditions:
    Environment – This is a remote position with expected travel to regional centers. It is an office environment; up to 25-35% travel is required.
    Physical Requirements – Sitting, standing, walking, and keyboard use.
