    Responsibilities


    • Provides therapy treatment under the direct supervision of licensed therapist, including modalities, exercise programs, group treatment programs, etc.
    • Communicates with therapist regarding patient care, patient needs, reactions to treatment, etc.
    • Processes necessary paperwork for assigned area. Maintains records and files as required.
    • Provides non-clinical support services to the therapist to include but not limited to maintaining patient treatment areas
    • Responsible for completing basic therapy competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies.
    • Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
    • Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
    • Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, & all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to service.
    Qualifications

    Job Requirements


    • HS Diploma or GED equivalent
    • CPR Certified
    • Ability to communicate effectively and deal calmly, courteously and efficiently with people
    • Ability to deal with stressful situations
    • Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures and maintain strict confidentiality
    Preferred Job Requirements


    • Graduate of a certified physical therapy technician program or comparable experience
    • One (1) year experience in hospital, rehabilitation or outpatient setting as a therapy technician
