    Responsibilities for this Position

    1. Carries out the policies and procedures of the company while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service.

    2. Resolves guest and associate maintenance problems and assists with guest requests as needed.

    3. Be proficient in the skills of an HVAC-R Mechanic, repair and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, and be capable of performing tasks on their own after training. Skills include, but are not limited to: a) Reading/understanding of blueprints or technical diagrams, b) Install and maintain all types of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigerant equipment, c) Inspect electrical components of HVAC-R equipment. Perform diagnostics on electrical components and/or controls of such equipment. d) Identify HVAC-R problems with a variety of refrigerants and their handling. EPA Certifications desirable but not mandatory.

    4. Assists other department staff with technical repairs pertaining to electrical and plumbing.

    5. Identifies problems that cannot be readily repaired and writes work orders for those problems.

    6. Communicates information to the Maintenance HVAC-R Supervisor and assists with solutions to problems as requested.

    7. Must have basic knowledge of EMS and life safety systems, with training.

    8. Accurately completes daily round sheets and identifies and reports major problems.

    9. Be capable of performing General Maintenance and Technician tasks and willing to do so as priority and workload dictates, and under the direction of the Maintenance HVAC-R Supervisor.

    10. Performs other related duties capable of being performed as requested by the Director.

    Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience in a similar job in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Must be able to use hand tools.
  • Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing blueprints.
  • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) HVAC Certification preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.

    Technical Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Requires strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Must meet grooming standards.

  • Computer experience strongly desired.
