SpineSearch is partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-site surgical practice with locations across New Jersey and Pennsylvania to identify a dedicated, full-time Athletic Trainer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, patient-centered team working alongside a Sports Medicine Physician and Physiatrist to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care to a diverse patient population.

Position Overview

The Athletic Trainer will play a key role in supporting clinical operations, evaluating patients, assisting with procedures, and ensuring optimal outcomes through evidence-based treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Patient Care
Collaborate closely with physicians to evaluate and assess patient conditions
Independently work up new patients and partner with providers to develop individualized plans of care
Perform examinations and clinical assessments within scope of practice
Evaluate injuries and design evidence-based rehabilitation and exercise programs
Reassess and modify treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical encounters in accordance with regulatory standards
Review diagnostic imaging, labs, and consultation notes prior to appointments
Prepare patient charts in advance of scheduled visits
Triage clinical questions and respond appropriately
Assist with prescription preparation, approved refills, and communication of imaging/lab results
Coordinate with scheduling, insurance, and bracing departments as needed

Procedural & Technical Responsibilities

Assist physicians with in-office procedures including:
Orthovisc
Monovisc
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections
Botox (medical necessity)
Trigger point injections
Perform basic phlebotomy draws for PRP preparation
Set up and operate ultrasound equipment
Assist with brace fitting and patient education

Administrative & Operational Duties
Maintain and restock clinical inventory; place supply orders as needed
Coordinate with local school districts for sports physicals and student-athlete injury care
Provide support across multiple clinical sites as needed

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or related field
Graduation from a CAATE-accredited athletic training program (or equivalent)
Current CPR & AED certification
Ability to pass a background check
Preferred
Experience in sports medicine or orthopedic settings
Familiarity with motor vehicle accident, workers' compensation, and personal injury cases
Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Bilingual skills are a plus
