Job summary
The National Audubon Society is seeking a Lead Summer Camp Counselor for their Sharon Audubon Center in Sharon CT. The counselor will oversee regular day-to-day camp programs resolve minor daily issues run camp debriefs with camp staff set up clean up each day's camp activities plan execute weeklong camp sessions teach discovery hikes pond explorations live animal programs nature crafts games ensure other camp staff prepared for each day maintain safety of all campers during time at Audubon Camp maintain positive working relationships with summer- Assisting teaching various education programs on-site outreach groups like school students scouts general public following all Audubon OEC CDC guidelines;
- Greeting visitors helping purchases Nature Store aspects running nature center;
- Working writing summer curriculum preparing materials needed lessons creating craft templates general preparation summer season;
- Assist training remaining seasonal staff once onboarded familiarizing them with summer procedures curriculum protocols.
