Seeking a psychiatrist to join an existing group for the expansion of a new inpatient facility.
The state-of-the-art facility will have an eight-bed adolescent unit, 24 bed adult unit and 12 bed geropsychiatry unit.
The group provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to include both adult, child and adolescent services, a robust consultation liaison service for the hospital, a MAT program and medical education.
The Department is involved in teaching family practice residents, medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and social work interns.
A psychiatric residency program will be initiated once the hospital is built. The psychiatrist will be evaluating and treating a general adult population.Weekday call is currently being handled. Weekend call will be estimated to be 1:8.
This will involve rounding on the inpatient units and seeing psychiatry consults in the Medical Center. Conceivably, 1/2-day out of the week could be spent treating this population.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Ability to have PA state medical license
Great at relationship building, both with patients and colleagues
H1B / J1 Visa if necessary
For public K-12 education, the Indiana Area School District supports four elementary schools, a junior high school, and a high school, which are accredited and recognized for quality.
Indiana is also home to several parks and recreation areas, including the Indiana County Fairgrounds, the Indiana County Parks and Recreation Department, and the Indiana Rail Trail.
Easy access to Pittsburgh allows for big city entertainment, restaurants, night life, and sporting events.
