- Design and develop bearing assemblies using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor) while adhering to industry standards and specifications.
- Apply your knowledge of various bearing types, including Taper Roller, Spherical Roller, Needle Bearings, Thrust Bearings, etc., to optimize designs for specific applications.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis and simulations to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks in the design and manufacturing processes.
- Perform dimensional and tolerance analysis to ensure the accuracy and integrity of design models.
- Generate detailed technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM), to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in bearing technology and mechanical engineering.
- Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, regarding product design and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or industrial machinery sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, with a strong emphasis on 3D modeling and drafting.
- In-depth knowledge of bearing types, principles, and applications, including Taper Roller, Spherical Roller, Needle Bearings, Thrust Bearings, etc.
- Familiarity with FMEA analysis methodologies and their application in product development.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in design work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks based on project timelines and objectives.
