    Non-ExemptSummary$500 BONUS $250 ON FIRST CHECK AND $250 AFTER 120-DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT The City of Charleston is looking for a Grounds Custodian Crew Leader-Floating Crew to join its Public Service Department In this role, you will be leading a group of grounds custodians in maintaining the cleanliness of city streets and sidewalks using pressure washers and other equipment.

    Examples of Duties Supervises and coordinates the schedules of subordinate grounds custodians.
    Drives a truck with grounds custodians to designated areas.
    Pulls trailer downtown to deliver and retrieve Glutton street vac's to job site. Sweeps and cleans streets, sidewalks, and gutters using a Glutton street Vac or a shovel and push broom.
    Receives requests from residents and shop owners.

    Resolves problems and fulfills all requests within their authority and refers any and all requests that cannot be resolved to supervisor.

    Uses a variety of chemical cleaners, hand tools, and power tools to remove gum and stains.
    Empties litter bags from mounted litter baskets when needed.
    Performs any other related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications High School diploma/GED and 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Valid South Carolina driver's license.

    You must be available to work the following shifts:

    Shift A:
    Thursday and Friday


    7am - 5pmShift B:
