    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Mgr, Imaging Workflow is responsible for the daily (24/7) operational and workflow support for physicians in the reading rooms across 6 hospitals, all outpatient imaging locations, and physicians reading remotely from offsite locations.

    Additionally, the Mgr, Imaging Workflow is responsible for ensuring effective administrative support is in place for all physicians in Radiology (headcount >150).

    Physician Access and Training:

    Ensures that all radiologists have appropriate systems access and sufficient training for all applications (software systems), including workflows required within their subspecialty.

    Develops and maintains efficient processes and effective tracking for provider access and training.

    Licensure, Credentials, Privileges and Compliance:

    Ensures that all physicians are appropriately credentialed and granted privileges, in a timely manner, for all relevant practice sites.

    Tracks to confirm medical license renewal, re-credentialing, and all required compliance-related activities are completed in a timely manner. Builds and implements solutions that minimize administrative burden to the physician. Provides guidance to physicians for administrative processes and compliance-related activities.

    Reading Room Resource Management:

    Managing the allocation of resources such as workstations, microphones, keyboards, mice and cameras to ensure that all physicians have the necessary equipment (onsite and remotely) and that equipment is in working order.

    In partnership with local site management, ensure that the reading room environment is clean and ergonomically safe and supportive (includes table and chairs in the room).

    Workflow Optimization:

    In partnership with physician leaders and Imaging Informatics, develops and implements efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity and minimize turnaround times for radiology reports.

    Troubleshooting/resolving any issues or technical problems that may arise during the interpretation and reporting of imaging studies.

    Quality Control / Quality Improvement:

    Manages the imaging workflow specialist team to support the timely interpretation of imaging studies (outpatient, inpatient, and ED) by monitoring radiology worklists and calling attention to unread studies that fall outside of standard turnaround time expectations.

    Coordinates with Revenue Cycle and physician leadership to implement quality control for final reports (e.g., use of standard templates and inclusion of all key elements needed for quality patient care and maximum reimbursement) Identifies opportunities for improvement Communication:

    Serves as a liaison among department leaders, radiologists, technologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and collaboration, in support of timely and high quality patient care.

    Goals and Measures of Success:

    Identifies, reviews and regularly reports key performance indicators (KPIs) for employee experience and engagement, physician experience, clinical workflow efficiency, and administration/operational efficiency.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's Degree, 5+ years of experience in health care, preferably hospital-based setting, 2+ years of supervisory experience.

    Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to:

    Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required.

    Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
