    Opportunity at a Glance

    The Product Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in the Walden Institutional Marketing team to increase new enrolments. This individual will carry out marketing initiatives tailored to meet the distinct requirements of diverse target audiences, aiming to increase awareness, generate leads, drive conversions, and boost enrollments. They will collaborate closely with Product Management, Creative, and Channel Managers to support marketing plans and creative content at both the college and program levels that align with the overarching Walden brand. This role will be responsible for marketing operations, helping ensure that all marketing materials (collateral, print production, digital, etc.) align to overall objectives and are executed with high quality.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage projects to ensure delivery is on time and meets high quality standards.
    • Partner with colleagues to implement plans, events, and projects.
    • Responsible for working with and executing projects with vendors and agencies.
    • Manage and update creative content across multiple channels including website, digital media, CRM, social media, and sales collateral.
    • Understand competition, where they are advertising and how they position their product.
    • Compile and update product claims, key benefits, and differentiators in partnership with the Product Management team.
    • Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g., product, enrollment, CRM and more) to monitor strategic marketing initiatives.
    • Coordinate and route communications through appropriate channels for approvals.
    • Implement and manage communications and marketing tactics as assigned.
    • Generate, build, or automate reports as necessary for team members.
    • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns.
    • Seek and work with current students and graduates to bring their "stories" to life.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a major in Marketing or Business- related areas.
    • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing and/or marketing communications.
    • Experience with higher education a plus.
    • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions and actionable next steps.
    • Experience working with digital media (paid and organic), CRM, and events.
    • Basic understanding of project management and prioritization.
    • Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as a contributor.
    • Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to complete tasks/projects.
    • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.
    • Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Accuracy and accountability for work.
    • Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel and PowerPoint.

    Additional Information

    In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $47,766 and $86,253. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
