Job Description

Objective: Complete specific maintenance and projects as directed, ensuring timely and quality work while respecting facilities.

Advise on concerns with equipment operation, maintenance, and programming.
Disassemble and reassemble machines to examine parts for wear or defects using hand tools and measuring devices.
Align and adjust equipment according to specifications and basic electrical work understanding.
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain automated and manual industry machinery and parts.

Marginal Functions:

Assist with maintenance projects at sow farms as needed.
Complete assigned projects by the PRM Director.
Travel weekly as required.

Position Specifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural or construction management preferred; equivalent experience/training considered in lieu of or in combination with education.

Experience:

Three to four years of construction/maintenance experience or post-secondary education.

Work Environment:

Agricultural swine environment in rural areas; potential exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection and adverse weather conditions.

Location:

Missouri, Iowa, Illinois.

Physical Requirements:

Eight to ten hours per day standing, walking, and being on feet; frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling; frequent use of hands/arms to grasp or pull; frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds.

Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 or 100 pounds requiring assistance.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to attend and participate in meetings of varying lengths.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work individually and as a team; must qualify to drive a company vehicle based on driving record; occasional overnight travel; adherence to Pipestone's Core Values at all times.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year.
