Work at various locations throughout the City of Toledo -
Operate light construction and maintenance equipment to support various maintenance activities involving landscaping and line maintenance; perform loading, hauling, scraping, sweeping, mowing, weed eating, and related operations; and perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks.

Full job descriptionThis position will be full-time, working to maintain city parks and other locations.Under immediate supervision, is responsible for performing routine manual labor; performs related duties as required.
Potential work opportunities (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all of the responsibilities that may be performed.)

• Assists skilled and semi-skilled workers, construction crews, and maintenance crews in performing daily work assignments;
• Upkeeps areas, including mowing and edging, picking up trash, raking leaves, cleaning windows, and/or removing ice and snow from steps and walkways; MUST have equipment experience;
• Cleans up the work area after completion of a job;
• Plants, weeds, and water flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns;
• Performs minor maintenance on equipment, grounds, and buildings;
• Lifts and moves heavy materials (e.g., soil, gravel, etc.);
• Drives a vehicle to transport coworkers and work materials
• Completes simple reports as required by supervisor;
• May operate powered hand tools such as saws and drills.

Minimum QualificationsAny experience and training that would provide the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed in this job class specification.

• Possession of a valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
• Must pass DT and Background check.
• Ability to work FT hours
