- Baccalaureate degree in communications, journalism, English or related field.
- 2-5 years communications experience, demonstrating excellent web-based content management and writing skills, accuracy, and demonstrated attention to detail.

Essential Functions Reporting to Business and Operations' Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing and communications that will synergistically strengthen the visibility and impact of strategic plans, programs, initiatives, and personnel centered on campus development, primarily supporting Planning, Design and Construction and assisting with other units at the University of Pittsburgh as requested, both internally and externally.
This dynamic role requires expertise including brand management, marketing and communications planning, copywriting and design skills across communication channels, demonstrating professionalism with tact and diplomacy to maintain a service-oriented, collaborative environment with team members.
