Description
We are seeking a Locums Emergency
Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Malone NY. This is
a full-time position that offers a dynamic work environment where you will
assist and supplement our Emergency Department Physician staff. Schedule
is 10:00am - 10pm/ 7 days week with no call. Patient loads are
typically 15 patients per shift and are supervised and co-managed by a
physician. Provider will be required to perform procedures including
Suturing, Abscess drainage, fracture reduction & splint application.
Key responsibilities : Assess,
diagnose, and treat patients, working closely with the Emergency Department
Physician team. Respond promptly to calls from the nursing staff, effectively
managing changes in patient conditions. Order and interpret tests and images,
and prescribe medications as needed. Prepare patient discharges, including
writing prescriptions, discharge summaries, arranging follow-up appointments,
and educating patients and their families. Maintain a high standard of patient
care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.
Malone is
a town in upstate New York, located in Franklin County. It serves as the county
seat and is situated near the Canadian border, making it a gateway to the
Adirondack Mountains. The town is known for its scenic beauty, with forests,
lakes, and rivers surrounding the area, making it a haven for outdoor

Requirements:

Advanced Practice
Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) certification with current
state licensure in New York.
