    The role

    SFM is expanding their IT Department because the company is growing. As the System Administrator you will be part of a dynamic team working with complex applications like Microsoft Exchange and manage disk technologies such as RAID, NAS, and SAN. This position entails work with systems on-prem and cloud environments which includes products such as Exchange, file, print, remote desktop tools, Active Directory, DNS, and Azure. All of this is done while maintaining the utmost standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer service. You will be a significant contributor being instrumental in delivering top-notch technical support, with a particular focus on security technologies to support the security of the company's network and data. At SFM, the IT Department plays a critical role in the overall success of the organization. You will work with key stakeholders within the organization providing a high-level of technical support.     What You Will Be Doing
    • Administers and implements on-prem and cloud-based Microsoft Windows Enterprise Products. These include but are not limited to, Exchange, file, print, remote desktop tools, Active Directory, DNS, Azure, etc
    • Administers and implements VMWare virtual machines along with VMWare
    • Assists with the installation and administration of various enterprise applications.
    • Assists in assessing network and data security threats, recommends mitigations to security
    • Assists in the administration of Print Services on Windows Server.
    • Administers and implements storage technologies, including NetApp/ Snapshot
    • Administers and implements all aspects of the backup solution to include maintaining a regular systems backup schedule, coordinating offsite storage of backup media, ensuring air-gapped backup security.
    • Administers and implements patch management of servers helping to ensure systems are secure and accessible. Performs off-hours patching as necessary along with quarterly maintenance patching.
    • Preserves the safety and integrity of all information systems and data while minimizing downtime for critical systems, including maintaining the disaster recovery equipment and documentation.
    • Maximizes the performance of information and communication systems by monitoring performance, optimizing usage, and tuning hardware and software parameters.

    • Collaborates and provides education and to and/or with various members of the IS team and other business units within the maintains appropriate interactions with both internal and external customers.
    What We'll Love About You
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or similar field, OR, associate degree in IT related field, with two years' experience in Windows systems administration.
    • Current certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional,
    • Experience administering Microsoft 365 Tenant, preferred.
    • Experience working with Azure or AWS, preferred.
    • Experience working with virtual machines, preferred.
    • Telecommunications experience is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, especially Exchange online highly desirable.
    • Working knowledge of NAS desired.
    • Ability to provide solid levels of system up-time by proactively maintaining systems and security protocols.
    • Ability to follow directions, understand and adhere to team procedures and company best practices.
    • Passion for excellence in customer service and furthering one's own knowledge.
    • Displays integrity, respect, and confidentiality.
    • Highly organized and accurate with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong documentation abilities with a focus on detail.

    Physical Requirements

    Work takes place in a semi paperless environment within an office setting, either on business premises or other remote location, using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, which requires being stationary for extended periods of time.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and maintain concentration and focus. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and work with close vision. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Work is performed indoors with little to no exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions. Regular attendance is required.
