Position: Material Handler

Department: Shipping & Receiving

Hours: 3rd shift: 9:00 p.m.–shift end (hours may vary) Saturday availability

Pay: $20.00/Hour + $1.00 Shift Premium = $21.00

Required Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of Hilo/Forklift experience preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Stand-up forklift experience required.
• Must have proficient math skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stage all ingredients for the Kitchen and Production teams from requisitions.
• Operate a stand up and sit down reach truck in a safe and timely manner to assure proper unloading and storage of received materials and finished products.
• Responsible for the accurate picking and recording of customer orders.
• Perform cycle counts as needed.
• Loading and moving frozen ingredients from the receiving dock into appropriate freezer locations.
• Using computer terminal to look up and locate inventory information.
• Select orders according to proper product code numbers and quantities.
• Select product from proper location to assure proper product rotation.
• Complete paperwork accurately, neatly and in a timely fashion.
• Perform lifting following approved methods to avoid injury.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed for forklift operations and other work practices to avoid and eliminate workplace hazards.
• Follow all GMP and Product Safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualities:

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Good organizational skills and detailed oriented.
• Lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in cold environment.
