    Primary Function:

    Support leadership, management and direction for the SLA construction projects. Maintain project information, financials, documents, drawings / Specifications and schedule as directed while working as a project team member. Coordinate and communicate with Subcontractors, Architects, Engineers and Owner as directed by the Superintendent and/or Project Manager. Interact and report as needed to management the status of your responsibilities for the project. Lead and Practice the SLA mission statement and core principles.

    Position Authority/Guidelines

    You are expected to work as directed with independence and use experience, initiative and sound judgment to accomplish work responsibilities and duties. Communication with the entire team is critical. You are requested to continue your Professional development, especially your construction knowledge, while keeping abreast of changes in procedures, laws and regulations relating to work responsibilities and the construction industry.

    Typical Duties:

    • Establish and maintain control for all project administration you are assigned thru the use of the SLA management system Procore.
    • Assume responsibility and appropriately administer sound work practices for your project responsibilities.
    • Accountable for monthly project reporting and appropriate use of company SOP.
    • Attend and contribute to project meetings.
    • Support schedule creation, maintenance, and compliance.
    • Assure compliance with all SOP standards, safety policy, affirmative action, equal opportunity employment goals...
    • When directed, responsible for the support of pre-construction, construction and closeout phases of the construction project.
    • Work cooperatively with on-site construction team and ensure thorough documents, plan/ specification, submittal review and understanding.
    • Frequent on-site visual project review. Walk the job to observe and understand the operations. Provide a second set of eyes for zero injury safety policies, construction schedule, QA/QC and all document requirements.
    • Assist with primary and secondary estimating and marketing efforts, if needed.
    • Understand the subcontractor contract language and process. Understand the change management procedures and process.
    • Collaborate and support the on-site construction superintendents.
    • Develop an expert knowledge of construction technology.
    • Develop professional, personal relations with others, communicate clearly to all parties.

    Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction related field
    • BS degree in construction management or engineering (or related field) preferred
    • AA degree with an additional 2 years of experience will be considered
    • Proficient in the use of estimating, project management, accounting, and construction management software
    • In depth understanding of construction and safety processes and procedures.
    • Strong work ethic
    • Strong desire to learn
    • Minimum OSHA 10 (preferably OSHA 30) safety certification.
