    Job Summary:
    Supermicro IT team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT System Engineer to join our dynamic team.

    The Senior IT System Engineer will play a critical role in planning, designing, implementing, operating, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure.

    This role requires deep technical knowledge of Hyper-converged Infrastructure (HCI) using Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) or Azure Stack HCI and related Microsoft and VMware technologies to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems while providing technical leadership to the team.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

    System Design and Architecture:

    • Design, plan, and implement complex IT systems and solutions to meet the organization's operational and business needs
    Proven hands-on experience in Hyper-V, Nutanix and ESXI environments:

    • Storage Spaces Direct (S2D)
    • Azure Stack HCI, SCCM VMM
    • Hyper-V w/Replicas
    • Windows clustering
    • Active Directory
    • DNS/DHCP
    • PowerShell
    • VDI

    System Administration:

    • Perform system administration tasks, and managing virtualization technologies, including virtual servers and cloud-based infrastructure
    • Oversee the deployment and management of software applications, operating systems, and updates

    Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

    • Provide technical support to resolve complex system and network issues
    • Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software problems

    Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

    Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to stay updated with the latest technology trends and industry best practices

    Qualifications:
    The position requires a combination of leadership qualities, technical skills, and business acumen to effectively manage the IT Infrastructure.

    Education:
    Bachelor's/Master's or equivalent degree in a relevant field

    Leadership Skills:
    Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management

    Analytical Skills:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges

    Certifications:
    Good to have virtualization, networking, cloud, and system certs

    Technical Proficiency:
    Solid understanding of networking, systems, and information security principles

    Project Management:
    Solid project management skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

    Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance.

    The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company.

    In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role. Candidates should consider the commuting distance and be prepared to fulfill their responsibilities in the designated office location.
    Salary Range

    $137,000 - $157,000

    The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.

    In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
