    Classification Information FLSA Non-Exempt Position Information Position Title High School Equivalency (HSE) Test Administrator (PT) Position Number PS3-CCR Position Type Part Time Leave Format Staff Shift Day/Special Events Supervisor Title Director of College and Career Readiness and HRD Location Main Campus (Dobson) Job Description - Summary The HSE Test Administrator for College and Career Readiness is responsible for the secure and accurate administration of standardized assessments for adult learners. This position supports student success by ensuring testing is conducted in accordance with all state, vendor, and institutional policies and procedures. Assessments may include paper-based and computer-based formats. Must successfully complete required training and certifications for HiSET, WorkKeys, and CASAS (full training provided or supported by the program). Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Administer and proctor standardized assessments, including HiSET (paper-based and computer-based), WorkKeys, and CASAS, in accordance with established testing protocols· Maintain test security, confidentiality, and integrity at all times· Prepare testing rooms and materials, including check-in procedures, seating arrangements, and technology setup· Verify student identity and eligibility prior to testing· Monitor testing sessions to ensure compliance with testing rules and approved accommodations· Accurately document attendance, incidents, and testing outcomes as required· Enter, track, and report testing data using designated systems or platforms· Communicate testing policies, procedures, and expectations clearly to students· Maintain organized testing records in compliance with program and institutional requirements· Collaborate with CCR staff under the direction of the Director/Chief HSE Examiner to schedule testing sessions and support program needs· Participate in required training, certification, and recertification for all testing platforms General Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must meet the requirements listed below that represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to be successful.     LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common correspondence and reports.

    • Ability to effectively present information to management, students, faculty, staff, or the public at-large.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    • Ability to apply and understand standard mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as budget preparation, frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

    • Understanding of and commitment to the unique nature and role of the College and to the philosophy of the community college system. Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain attentive and seated for extended periods during testing sessions
  • Must comply with all testing vendor, state, and institutional policies
  • Must meet and maintain all eligibility, training, and approval requirements established by HiSET/PSI, NCCCS Adult Education, and the local Chief HSE Examiner
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with workforce development or college readiness programs
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Experience working in an educational, testing, or administrative setting
  • Proficiency with computers and online testing platforms
