Manufacturing Engineer | Direct Hire | Near Knoxville, TN
Gem Care is actively seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers for a direct hire opportunity with one of East Tennessee's top manufacturing companies located near Knoxville, TN.
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team where you'll drive process improvement, lead new product launches, and make a measurable impact on production efficiency and quality.
What You'll DoDevelop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes aligned with product specifications and quality standards
Lead manufacturing launch activities for new and revised products
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S)
Analyze processes for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency gains
Interpret complex part drawings and understand design intent (GD&T required)
Define and implement tools, gauges, fixtures, equipment, routings, and CMM/CNC programs
Maintain accuracy of manufacturing routing databases (labor, cycle times, setup/changeover)
Collaborate cross-functionally and represent Manufacturing on project teams
Train internal staff and work with external technical support partners
Preferred Technical Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent
5+ years in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Lean principles
SolidWorks and/or CAM experience (plus)
CMM Programming & PC-DMIS (plus)
Project management experience
Strong shop-floor communication and problem-solving skills
