- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before and during their examination
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Clean and help protect patients' teeth
- Educate patients regarding the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instruction and demonstration of effective oral hygiene methods
- Give instructions to patients after operations and other dental procedures
- Take X-rays and dental impressions
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Clinical needs as required by office
- Minnesota Licensure and current CPR certification in American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- High degree of skill with hand instrumentation
- Local anesthesia and root planning
- Certified to administer nitrous oxide
- PR Certification
