    Opportunity:

    RN - Med Surg Tele

    Job Details:


    • Work 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

    • Every other weekend requirement

    • 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg

    • Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions

    • 1 year of experience required

    • Previous charge experience required

    • Travel experience required

    • Must live more than 75 miles from facility

    • EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement

    • BLS certification required

    • Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white

    • Float to Med Surg units as needed

    • 12 hours of orientation provided

    • Care for patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions

    • Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

    • Use Rapid Response/Code teams

    • Provide IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management

    • Manage respiratory equipment including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks

    • Handle wound care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, and central line care

    • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

    • Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols

    This tertiary care hospital features 528 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility specializes in complex care for medicine, orthopedic overflow, and long-term patients. The hospital maintains a 26-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
