We are growing rapidly and searching for a CPA/ Partner to join our firm. Our firm has been established for over 20 plus years and is in downtown Laguna Beach. We are one of the largest and most well-known firms in the Laguna Beach Community. We focus on high-net-worth individuals, businesses, trusts, and estate tax returns. We firmly believe in work-life balance and make this a priority for our staff offering flexible work schedules.
Our firm has experienced significant growth and based on this growth, we have a need for an experienced individual with extensive tax knowledge and experience.
Our ideal candidate would be able to review complex individual, business, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns.This is not a remote job but we do offer flexibility. We will pay relocation expenses for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Technical review of individuals, corporate, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns
The ability to do technical research on complex tax issues to provide valuable service to clients
Demonstrating the ability to manage the preparation and review process of complex returns in a timely and efficient manner
Preparation of tax projections and other tax planning strategies
Review tax information supplied by the client; may meet with or call clients with questions
May assist with reviewing financial statement compilations when needed.
Interact closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise
Work closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities
Mentor and coach staff members effectively to improve their job skills
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
CPA Certification
Master in Tax a plus
15+ years of recent practice in public accounting
Manager experience (5+ years)
Strong technical and analytical skills in tax accounting
Strong computer skills:
proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Tax Software (knowledge of Lacerte Tax software is a plus)
Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
Team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards.
Strong communication and organizational skills combined with attention to detail.
